Vultus,2024
Vultus (derived from Latin, meaning "face" or "mask") is a deity who manipulates human dreams. Vultus possesses the mysterious power to control human thoughts and emotions within the dream world. His followers believe that through devout offerings and rituals, they can achieve salvation of the soul and fulfill all their desires within their dreams.
This project, inspired by personal experiences, explores the existence of divinity and the ambiguity of faith under excessive superstition caused by overwhelming desires.
Through this work, I aim to explore various aspects of belief, including its origin, impact, and existence. I seek to examine the issues of excessive confusion and desire in contemporary society, reflecting on the subtle duality of superstition and faith, and delving into the exploration of divinity.
Vultus (derived from Latin, meaning "face" or "mask") suggests that divinity may be merely an external facade or a projection of desires, symbolizing humanity's imagination and fear of unknown forces, imbued with mystery, eeriness, and unpredictability.
